OES 2 linux is a add-on-product for SLES 10. The makeoes2dvd.sh script takes the OES 2 ISO and the SLES 10 sp1 iso, and creates a single integrated ISO file. The DVD image can then be used to install OES2 without having to manually add the OES 2 add-on product. During the install OES2 is automatically added on when install with the DVD image this script creates.

Note: Edit the three variables at the top of the script to put the path to your OES 2 ISO, your SLES10 ISO, and the path to the integrated ISO it will create. The script can also be edited to change the path of the "add-on-products" file it creates, so the ISO can be mounted as an OES 2 network install source.

Hello,

I tried to edit the script so that it would work with the new SLES10 SP2, however being 2 dvds it didnt work out too well.. I got the following error while trying to install:

dvd://// source rejected by user

Whats up with that?

Is there a way to integrate the SP2 version? Being its 2 dvds, I can burn the iso to a dvd9 or mount in vmware to run.

If I am not mistaken, the second DVD is just "source" code is not needed for the typical install, try just using the first DVD of sp2. Haven't tried it yet myself though...

One other comment -- if you are trying this with sles10sp2, make sure you do it with oes2sp1 (only in beta right now). Sles10sp2 is not supported with oes2 fcs and will give some conflicts.

To the user that posted it didn't work, check that your iso's have the correct check sums, not sure what is happening without more info, but others have had success.

Have you been able to do it with SLES10sp2 and OES2sp1 iso images?

I just tried this with SLES 10 SP2 and OES 2 SP1, and the script ran fine, but the media is not bootable :(
