We recently finished up some videos highlighting some of the features and benefits of Novell Storage Manager 2.5. All are now listed under "News & Events" on the product website at www.novell.com/storagemanager.

The "Watch the Novell Storage Manager video with David Condrey" video is a three-minute discussion of the problem of unmitigated growth in network storage and how it is a "call to action" for storage lifecycle management through Novell Storage Manager.

The "Watch the 'Lifecycle Management' demo" video is a Novell Open Video production narrated by Chris Neal that shows storage lifecycle automation in action. At just over 12 minutes, it shows storage lifecycle automation in action from the creation of a user's storage, the movement of a users storage based on a transfer in the organization, to the archiving of the storage following the resignation of the user. All of this is automated by Novell Storage Manager policies in eDirectory.

Finally, the "Watch the 'Getting Storage Managed by Policy' demo" is another 12-minute Chris Neal narrated Novell Open Video that shows how Novell Storage Manager can take existing storage and get it managed through Novell Storage Manager policies. It also shows how easy it is to migrate storage data from a NetWare server to an OES Linux server.
