Ivan Vari shares an excellent document focusing on a design where XEN virtual machines (domU) are centrally managed according to a set policy and highly available. What is written here is the real thing not a demo and has been working in production for over 18 months. They use this technology for hosting many UNIX services including DNS, Web proxy, SMTP, NFS, VPN, CUPS, etc. and traditional NetWare services with OES2.
